Minions: Red Carpet Premiere

Two weeks ago I attended the red carpet premiere of The Minions at the USC Shrine Auditorium. It was a fun day with the family that everyone seemed to enjoy. I got to premieres on the regular but this one was pretty special. Instead of it being a red carpet event, it was a "yellow carpet" event. Stars, filmmakers, animators, families/friends of the production were everywhere. When we went into the theater to watch the movie begin it was fantastic to see the main cast, producers, and director come out before the start of the film. Full disclosure, even through Despicable Me is a huge hit (that constantly gets airtime in my home) I have never seen the film.

So, I had no idea how excited all of these kids would be to see an entire film made up of minions. They loved it! It was a cute film. Really funny and upon watching it there was no doubt that Universal will continue their current roll of box office domination with this new animated flick. There was enough humor in it to entertain adults as well as kids of all ages. After the film, a lot of us went to the after party. It was a huge event, completely swagged out with minions gear. Whoever put this event together did one helluvah job.

It was a very relaxed party where yes, I got an opportunity to meet Jon "Don Draper" Hamm. Was he awesome in person? Yup. A very charming guy who immediately captivated little Fiona Rogue. She was smitten with the man of many suits, lol. It was Jon who ended up snapping our selfies and threw my iPhone shooting skills right out the goddamn window.
