CJ Johnson Revs Up the Crowd at Bubba Wallace's Block Party for Walmart's Go Live Better Campaign
If you're a NASCAR fan or just love a good block party, you might have already heard about the incredible event that took place at Richmond Raceway. The charismatic CJ Johnson was there in person for Bubba Wallace's Block Party, and it was nothing short of an adrenaline-filled night. Johnson was invited by Walmart to represent their Go Live Better campaign, which aims to promote health and wellness in the Black community. The Block Party was a roaring success, drawing fans from far and wide to enjoy a range of exciting activities, meet their racing heroes, and learn more about Walmart's health and wellness initiatives.
At the heart of the Block Party was none other than NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace and his 23XIracing team. Together with Walmart, they put on a spectacular show for fans of all ages, with activities ranging from NASCAR iRacing simulators and live pit stops to an incredible food truck village that showcased several Black-owned businesses.
The event also featured performances by the Backyard Band and The Art of Noise, with Desi Banks hosting the entire extravaganza. Artist Gina Net had the opportunity to get a portrait she painted of Bubba Wallace signed by the man himself. The painting, which shows half of Wallace's face and the other half covered by his racing gear, was a hit with the crowd.
But perhaps the most significant moment of the evening was when CJ Johnson and Bubba Wallace discussed mental health, wellness, and what it takes to #GoLiveBetter. Their conversation was a fantastic reminder of the importance of taking care of our minds and bodies, no matter the obstacles we face in our lives.
The Go Live Better campaign, in partnership with 3XI Racing and Bubba Wallace, is all about addressing healthcare disparities in the African American community. With a series of activations planned in Walmart parking lots across various race markets throughout the first half of the 2023 NASCAR season, the campaign is committed to building better communities through healthy solutions and preventative measures.
Each event will feature a wellness clinic, offering access to basic healthcare, blood pressure and diabetes testing, vaccinations, vision screenings, and more. Mental health awareness will also be a key focus of these events, something that is close to Bubba Wallace's heart.
