THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID IN LOS ANGELES

The COVID-19 global pandemic was a real game-changer for the entire world.  In the U.S., the Los Angles community was impacted by surging cases. The Los Angeles Department of Health (LA DPH) has been on the front lines of the fight against COVID, providing health resources and factual live updates/information to Los Angeles residents. Leading ad agency, Team Friday has been a core piece of their marketing efforts. CJ Johnson has worked behind the scenes with campaign strategies and created an influencer marketing infrastructure to support raising awareness. 

The goals were clear:

  • Combat COVID-19 misinformation directly and provide the opportunity for LA residents to speak directly with LA DPH officials. 

  • Provide resources for COVID testing and vaccinations. Especially in Black and Hispanic communities. 

  • Promote healthy living in Los Angles communities. 


Below you will see a “behind the scenes” look at the “get vaccinated” campaign. The goal of this specific campaign was to raise awareness about how you can get vaccinated. CJ devised a full scope strategy that the Team Friday team executed to perfection.
